Senator Scavello to Host FREE A1C Screening

This Tuesday, March 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., I will be hosting a FREE A1C Diabetes Screening at my Pen Argyl district office in partnership with Lehigh Valley Health Network. The A1C test provides information about levels of blood glucose critical for diabetes management and research.

Veterans Assistance Day – March 14

On the second Tuesday of each month, the American Legion holds a Veterans Assistance Day at my Tannersville district office (2989 Route 611, Suite 103, Tannersville). The next Veterans Assistance Day is Tuesday, March 14th.

A service officer with the American Legion Pennsylvania Department will be on site from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to assist veterans with issues including: compensation and pension claims, education benefits, enrollment in the VA health care system, burial and survivor benefits, state benefits, and obtaining military personnel and medical records.

Veterans do not need to be a member of the American Legion to receive these services. Please contact my Tannersville office to schedule an appointment at 570-620-4326.

Kinsley’s Shoprite Recognized for Anti-Hunger Efforts

Congratulations to Kinsley’s ShopRite of Brodheadsville for their outstanding efforts raising funds to help alleviate hunger. During National Hunger Awareness Week, Kinsley's ShopRite joined stores in six states that contributed to raising a combined $1.4 million to combat hunger. I also want to acknowledge ShopRite employees Rhianna Cenci and Elisabeth Everett who were specifically recognized for their efforts in coordinating and raising monies for the local fund drive effort. Our community thanks you all!

Savage Wolves Crossfit Grand Opening

Congratulations to Savage Wolves Crossfit on the grand opening of their new facility in Lower Nazareth. It was a pleasure visiting your beautiful new facility with Representative Hahn and best wishes in your new endeavor!

Holy Trinity Parish Hosts Chili Cook-off

This week I had the honor of guest-judging the chili cook-off competition for Holy Trinity Parish. There were many outstanding dishes and I thoroughly enjoyed each competitor’s efforts.
